In life, love and lust … I am lost

In life, love and lust

When lust and love closely mesh

And life overwhelms wholly these testy

Accusations

Of marriage, unholy –

Sex-free as a Coke

Without one kick of vice – and only that

Tightness of flight

From all touch, from all skin

Against skin, from all him deep in

The fab clutch of her driving,

Of her accelerating, and breaking,

And the making and the unmaking,

And the unbuttoned whispers,

And the murmuring groans

Where moans of terrible wrongitude

Once ruled the roost

Of the women who chose

To cruel his proper self,

In truth it is true

And in truth he does rue

The chances always lost …

To lust, love and life.
