Five photos which explain my joy today at the direction my life is taking.
No further explanations needed. Though if you scroll right to the very end, gently further yous shall get!
The photo of text at the beginning of this post comes from George Orwell’s wonderful essay, “The Lion and the Unicorn: Socialism and the English Genius.”
It helps to describe the English-speaking family I now accept is my one and only one: the family of writers, thinkers and philosophers which has grown up quite despite our better instincts.
Everything I have done of worth in my life has been despite my better instincts.
The rest has happened in the presence of real shite I failed to recognise at the time.
Therein, my culpability.
Therein, my shame.
Therein, the path I shall always tread again.
Though mebbe not entirely.
